Who We Are

It began with road trips across the United States, visiting historic sites and learning how places tell their stories. That curiosity carried into studying abroad, and later into years of backpacking and couchsurfing—experiencing the world more directly and more personally.

 

That perspective evolved into professional work in the heritage sector, where leadership roles focused on expanding audience engagement, building nationally recognized programs, and contributing within international networks. Group travel emerged as a natural extension of this approach, creating opportunities to take that same level of thoughtful interpretation and connection into the field.

 

Over time, our trips became something more: carefully designed journeys that brought people together, deepened their understanding of the places they visit, and strengthened the communities they returned to.

 

Now, everywhere we go the same question follows—how can this be done elsewhere? How can organizations create these kinds of group travel experiences for their own communities?

 

Seven League Travel exists to make that possible.
